Anarchy Online - how to use GMS as your (inifinite) credit store

 Hello,

A lot of you people probably know how this works. But some of you are struggling to figure it out. When I heard of this, it also took me a minute to understand how its done.

Well here I go and explain to you guys how a lot of these players handle their many billions of credits in the game we all love: Anarchy Online.

It all starts with a "Buy Order". This actually is a request to purchase an item in the GMS for a certain amount of credits. Because we don't actually want to buy the item but only want to use it for credit storage we will select an item that cannot be sold/bought in GMS's.

Step 1: select an item

In your GMS find a backpack of your choice.
Select the item and press the "Create Buy Order" button

Step 2: create Buy Order

In the following screen fill in a "Price per unit" and a "Units to buy". Set the duration to the max of 56 days. That way your credits are "safe for at least 50ish days. In my screenshot I entered a lower value for demo purposes, but if you have for example at the moment 3b in your GMS you can set "Price per unit" to 1.000.000.000 and the "Units to buy" to 3.
So basically fill in any combination of "Price per unit" and "Units to buy" such that your GMS credit amount is almost 0. I usually do this per 1b or in some cases per 100mil. After that exercise you end up with a buy order up AND near to 0 credits in your GMS.

Step 3: Fill your GMS credit total back up

The next step is to "fill'r up" again. Open up your mail terminal and your piggybanks and raise your GMS credit balance back to near 4b. Please be aware: NEVER raise it to 4b or higher, this locks the GMS up.

Step 4: Raise your Buy Order price

Locate your Buy Order, select it and press "Modify". You can then raise the buy order up by e.g. 3.000.000.000. This will modify the buy order and again draw your GMS balance clear.
Rince repeat Steps 3 and 4 to your delight.

If you do it right your GMS balance will never be 4.000.000.000 or higher and it will not lock.

I hope this helps you understand how to use GMS as your (inifinite) credit store.
In a bit I will make you a post explaining what to do when you reach that pesky 56 expiration date. There's a trick for that too!
